An increasingly hard-to-find piece of Australian AC/DC memorabilia from the band's classic Bon Scott era.

Released by Albert Publications in Australia during AC/DC's rise to international fame, The AC/DC Book contains lyrics, music and artwork based around the band's early catalogue, including material from the legendary Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap period. Songbooks such as this were sold in relatively small numbers compared to records themselves and have become highly sought after by collectors of Australian AC/DC memorabilia. Some examples of related Albert Productions AC/DC songbooks and promotional books from the mid-1970s are now considered exceptionally scarce.

This copy has unfortunately been heavily scribbled on by a previous owner, which has obviously had an impact on its collector value. The scribbling is the primary reason this example is being offered at a fraction of what a clean copy would command.

Had the book survived in excellent collector-grade condition without the scribbling and associated wear, examples of this rarity level can attract well into the thousands of dollars, with serious AC/DC collectors paying substantial premiums for clean original Australian memorabilia from this era. However, this copy should be purchased with the understanding that it is a well-loved survivor rather than a mint collector specimen.

Condition:

• Covers show general wear, creasing, scuffing and edge wear consistent with age.

• Interior contains substantial pen/pencil scribbling and writing.

• Structurally complete.
